If you grow food for sale to others in Philadelphia there are a number of regulations to be aware of. Some of these are local city regulations, others are state and federal regulations. These regulations fall into a few different general categories. Some have to do with food safety and public health and are usually guided by local health department regulations. Others have to do with where you can sell food and are governed by local zoning code ordinances. Finally, there are also regulations that have to do with keeping track of income from sales and are governed locally by the commerce department and license and inspections (also see tax section).
